0.4 now has Joe Walker's collaboration feature (couldn't ask for a better equipped developer for this feature than Joe!).

There are also other collab related features envisioned with Bespin, such as posting Twitter-like status updates. All in all, I'm starting to realise how much this project – and those like it – has the potential improve distributed software development. It will benefit a model of development based on sites like elance, it will benefit open source, and it will benefit the environment if people don't have to converge for physical meetings. Don't get me wrong – I like face-to-face meetings, pair programming, and co-located development a lot, and they're often underappreciated. But I'd also like to see the world move towards a place where the gap has closed, because there are many benefits if people don't *have* to co-locate. I see projects like Bespin as a significant step in that direction.
