Chrome Background Apps: A Few Resources

Not long ago, we announced Chrome's new background feature, and the feature is now in the stable release of Chrome. Long story short, Chrome is now able to run in the background, meaning that extensions, packaged apps, and hosted apps can likewise opt to run in the background. For example, they can show notification popups when there's new content or someone is trying to chat with our user friend; and they can cache fresh content in anticipationof the user opening the app.
